đŸ•¯ī¸ Regrets

Why mustn't you have regrets
To look back and desire
"I could have-"

A man with no regrets has lived too safely.
A man with no regrets,
is what but a stone?
Smooth, untouched,
never forged and never toned.

Why do you fear the ghost of regret?
Is it a trap, a chain, a debt?

No, my friend,
it is proof that you tried,
that you dared to leap, not just stand aside.

A life without regret is half-lived,
a story sealed, nothing to give.
Regret is the fire that forges the soul,
the bitter that teaches, the part that makes whole.

For a soul uncut by regret
is a river that never bled,
a lantern without fire,
a traveller walking with the dead.

For only regret can prove
that you were truly alive
or just another ghost
passing by.
